Sorting the categories list output


smallest category order plugin. just install and reorder existing categories in your admin interface, how you like to. (works with hierachical lists, too). with this plugin, a new parameter in wp_list_cats() and list_cats becomes available. simply do wp_list_cats(”sort_column=order”) plus standard parameters like “hierarchical=1″ and your printed list is in the order you specified at “Custom Category Order”-Page (its in the “Manage”-Submenu)

(tested with wp2.0.4, but should work with 1.5, too)
(yes, wp2.1 is supported, too. but the new function wp_list_categories takes “orderby=order” instead of “sort_column=order” … )
(note: this plugin is using mysql-subqueries, which are fully enabled in mysql version 4.1 and above. i am updating and improving the plugin on a irregular basis, so if something doesnt work properly, just releech and de-/activate)
